GB Job Clubs will offer all clubs in its network access to free IT training and qualifying Job Club members will be encouraged to apply for the Microsoft “Britain Works” paid apprenticeship scheme.  Here is the Microsoft press release

In September 2009 Microsoft launched a major employability initiative, Britain Works http://www.microsoft.com/uk/britainworks/britainworks.aspx. Through a series of partnerships with NGOs, community learning centres, and public authorities, we are aiming to help half a million people into jobs over the next three years in the areas of the economy that will lead the recovery. These will be digital jobs, requiring the use of computer skills, and will be in a range of industries from manufacturing to services and the IT industry itself.
