Steven Baker M.P.

Steve is a professional engineer, manager and businessman, in aerospace and in business software. He has worked with a wide range of organisations globally, from the armed forces and manufacturers, to banks, regulators, government departments and software firms of all sizes.

Steve is privileged and honoured to be the Member of Parliament for Wycombe. He is also an Associate Consultant to the Centre for Social Justice and a director of The Cobden Centre, an educational charity for honest money and social progress.

Chris Neal – Trustee and Executive Director

Chris enjoyed a successful 22 year broking career in the City encompassing commodities, freight, fixed income and derivatives. In the early 1990’s he set up the ICAP bond repurchase IDB business and served on a Bank of England gilt repo steering committee.

Since leaving the City in 1999 Chris has been an active investor/mentor in several businesses.        

He is a member of the Institute of Directors and serves on the Cobden Centre advisory board.

Since April 2009 Chris has set been involved in setting up and running Job Clubs in London and the South East and has encouraged cooperation between the many UK Job Clubs that now form the core network of the charity. He came up with the idea for our charity GB Job Clubs in July 2009 and subsequently developed the Jericho microfinance programme.

Gavin Poole

Executive Director at the Centre for Social Justice

Gavin joined the CSJ having completed 23 years of military service in the Royal Air Force where his final appointment was as a Ministerial Private Secretary within the MoD. Gavin has commanded at squadron and wing level in times of peace and during operations and has experience of global operations both on land and at sea. He brings experience in strategic planning, organisational reform, change management and implementation of policy. Academically he holds a BEng(Hons) and an MBA from Cranfield and gained an MA in War Studies from KCL during his year at the Joint Command and Staff College which prepares senior leaders from across 50 countries.
